HotMale International Supports It Gets Better

Over the next few months we at HotMale International want to show our support to a few causes that are out there and make you aware of their facebook, twitter and web pages. We wanted to start with a project that has really caught the imagination over the last year, the It Gets Better Project.

The It Gets Better Project was created to show young LGTB people that if they can get through their teenage years life really can get a lot better.

By the promotion of a very large number of videos made my people from every walk of life and sexual orientation the message is simple. You are who you are and you may be the target of stupid and mindless bullying when at school or in the play ground or just in social situations but generally in life in civilized countries being LGTB is just another normal member of society.

In recent months there have been a number of high profile subsides amongst young people because of the bullying they have suffered and this has brought support from politicians like Barack Obama and David Cameron and celebrities like Lady GaGa.

For me one very poignant moment was when Zachary Quinto announced he was gay back in October 2011after the suicide of Jamey Rodemeyer. Quinto stated "that living a gay life without publicly acknowledging it, is simply not enough to make any significant contribution to the immense work that lies ahead on the road to complete equality." Quinto has made his own It Gets Better Video in 2010.
